Double the Excitement at the 34th Annual Leake Car Show and Auction
TULSA, Okla. (June 2, 2006) — The 2006 Tulsa Collector Car Show and Auction is about to begin and Leake Auction President Richard Sevenoaks says he has rarely been so excited. Due to the raging success of last year’s auction, the audience will experience double the excitement as two rings of vehicles will be auctioned simultaneously on Friday and Saturday. You won’t want to miss Sunday with a large block of no reserve cars for sale.
The auction takes place Friday, Saturday, and Sunday June 9th, 10th & 11th in Expo Square on the Tulsa Fairgrounds. Around 700 automobiles are expected to be offered at the three-day auto extravaganza, breaking last year’s record of over 600 cars.
Sevenoaks elaborates, “Last year cars from the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s with hundreds of horses prancing under the hoods led to an extraordinarily successful auction. The collector car market is still booming. We have many great consignments this year. This will be a tremendously exciting sale.”
Included in this year’s incredible selection of vehicles are:
- 1930 Cadillac V-16 Roadster
- 1924 Duesenberg Model A Phaeton
- 1915 Brewster Town Landau
- 1932 Packard Series 904 Custom Dietrich Convertible Victoria
Also, don’t forget the 1938 Cadillac Formal Sedan made for actress Mae West. The earliest car is the 1900 Milwaukee Steamer Stanhope. These cars will conjure up excitement in everyone with a taste for fine automobiles.
Those with a need for speed will be absolutely fascinated by our selection of muscle cars including two 1967 Corvettes: the first is a very rare 435 HP Coupe with matching numbers, and its twin Roadster was judged NCRS 2nd Flight in the 1990's. Don’t worry Shelby enthusiasts, there are a number of cars awaiting you at our auction as well. Included are a 1968 Shelby GT 350 Convertible, one of 404 of its kind ever built, and a 1968 Shelby GT 500 Fastback which is one of the most anticipated cars this year.
