The auction was hosted by Kruse International and Leake Auction Company. Representatives of both auction houses were pleased with the results of the event.
“The Southwest has become a very hot region for collector car events. Our past four sales in this area of the country have exceeded past years’ totals for the same events and we’re very excited about that. The economy is picking up, and with that you’re going to see a real boom in the collector car market, in the Southwest and nationwide,” said Dean Kruse, president and CEO of Kruse International.
“The Oklahoma City auction is maturing into a strong regional sale. This was a banner auction for us in Oklahoma City, over $2.2 million in sales with 58 percent of the cars being sold. We are deeply appreciative of the continued support of our buyers and sellers. We will now focus on our Tulsa auction, June 11-13, 2004, the largest all-indoor auction in the United States. The Tulsa auction consistently ranks as one of the top five national auctions,” said Richard Sevenoaks, president of Leake Auction Company.
Kruse International is the world’s largest collector car sales organization, with over forty events across the country and around the world on an annual basis. Kruse will return to the region March 13-14 for the 58th semi-annual San Antonio/Austin Collector Car Auction. For more information on the event, call (800) 968-4444 or visit www.kruse.com.
