Hot Ponies and Fast Mustangs… a Classic “Round-up” Kruse Style
Oklahoma City, Okla. (February 12, 2003) -- Leake Auction Company and Kruse International once again team up to present the 19th Annual Oklahoma City Collector Car Auction and Show. This year’s three day event will be held on the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds in the State’s capitol, Oklahoma City, on February 21, 22 & 23. Four Hundred Collector Cars are expected for this annual event.
The Auction is open to the public and general admission is only $10 for adults and $5 for children. Doors open at 9 am daily for viewing, and the auction will begin at 3 pm Friday and 10 am on Saturday and Sunday.
For a touch of nostalgia how about the 1978 Pontiac Trans Am “Bandit”, this rare "Bandit" model is one of 4,135 made in 1978. It is a rust free Arizona car that has been fully restored. The car is equipped with a powerful 400 cid V8, a shaker hood, factory 4 speed Borg Warner transmission, and a 3.42:1 rear end with posi-traction. Widely recognized from the movie "Smokey and the Bandit", the Trans Am "Bandit" model is among the last of the Pontiac "big block" muscle cars.
One the stars of this year’s auction will be the 1957 Mercedes Benz 300 SC Roadster. One of the rarest and most beautiful in the Mercedes line, the 300 SC features a 3.5 litre fuel injected sohc 6 cylinder engine. This magnificent vehicle is completely restored and may be the finest example of this model in existence.
Also featured is the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS Coupe. This rare RS/SS sports a UCLA color combination that was not available as a production color. Due to a rare paint delete code on this vehicle the original owner was able to special order this combination. Vehicle has fiber optic fender indicators, headlamp washer, blue light radio, tilt, console, power windows, speed reminder, rosewood wheel, factory door edge guards, 12 bolt rear end. Documented luxurious Camaro RS/SS.
Creating a lot of interest at the moment is the 1967 Chevrolet Nova Custom. A true 11837 code Super Sport car, Marina Blue Paint with all leather beige interior and trunk. 502/502 GM crate motor, TPI 700R4 automatic transmission with stall converter, Ford 9 inch with Detroit True-Trac Posi unit. And the list goes on and on.
If you have always dreamed of being a race car driver you might want to purchase the 1959 Austin Healey Bug Eye Vintage Racer, this Vintage race car is fully race ready and certified for vintage racing. It comes with a fresh 1275cc race engine and lots of spares, including three spare engines, and transmissions. And for the aficionados of speed, consider one of the two Ferrari 308 GTSI Two Doors.
